The Palm Beach County Association of the Deaf, Inc. (PBCAD) is one of the oldest and largest organizations serving deaf citizens in South Florida. This organization is an advocacy and service organization, which serves as a focal point of all cooperating agencies within the area promoting the welfare of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in educational measures, employment, and legislation.
PBCAD will be hosting the 49th Biennial Florida Association of the Deaf conference during May 14-18, 2009 in West Palm beach, FL. Approximately 300-400 Deaf and Hard of Hearing people are expected to attend the conference.
The purpose of FAD 2009 conference is to advise deaf and hard of hearing participants of the latest developments and resources that may enhance their lives physically, financially and spiritually. As in the past, the Conferences attendees participate in a full exciting educational/cultural week, which includes workshops, lectures and exhibitions showcasing the latest technology marvels to improve their quality of life.
To ensure a successful FAD 2009 conference for our attendees, we do need to provide special support services such as sign language, oral interpreters, and tactile interpreters (for deaf-blind attendees), cart (real time captioning) and audiovisual services. Those special support services are very costly; therefore we need some assistance in underwriting these expenses.
We are currently seeking sponsors/donors to assist in making this FAD 2009 conference one of the best ever. We hope you would be interested in sponsoring this FAD 2009 conference. We definitely will advertise your generous support in any way we can.
PBCAD is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization which enables your contribution to be tax deductible. If there are any questions regarding this request of sponsorship/donations,
Thank you in advance for your interest and anticipated support.
Sincerely yours,
